Simply Music® Piano Lessons

Music brings joy — from the very first lesson.

At Kym's Piano Studio, students of all ages learn to play great-sounding music first — the way we learn a language — and read notation later. Contemporary, classical, gospel, blues & jazz, right from lesson one.

A different way to learn

We learn music the way we learn a language.

Traditional lessons start with reading notation — and too many students quit before the music ever gets fun. Simply Music® is a playing-based method: students build a repertoire of real, great-sounding songs first, then learn to read music once playing already feels natural.

01

Play from lesson one

Students play real contemporary, classical, gospel, and blues pieces immediately — not exercises. Progress you can hear from the very first week.

02

Then learn to read

Just like speaking before reading, notation comes after playing feels natural — so reading music builds on skills students already own.

03

Compose & improvise

Students learn to self-generate — making up their own music, improvising, and experiencing musicianship as natural self-expression.

Meet Kym Ng

Kym is an Advanced Simply Music® Educator who has been helping students fall in love with the piano for over a decade — first in San Jose, now in Prosper, Texas. Her fundamental goal is simple: maximize the likelihood that students acquire and retain music as a lifelong companion.

1

Games, stories & hands-on tools — every lesson mixes tactile activities, clapping, and singing so learning stays playful.

2

Small group lessons — students motivate each other, practice as teammates, and look forward to coming back.

3

A practice app between lessons — assignments, practice tracking, and same-day answers to questions all week long.

4

Real performances — recitals with a live band, plus community performances for local seniors.
